A collection of rare Sundays at the Saville concert programmes, all 1967, to include eight with cover art work designed by Simon & Marajke of the Fool, dates and artists include: Jimi Hendrix Experience The Who 29th Jan.; Cream 5th Feb.; Duane Eddy 12th March; Bo Diddley 16th Apr.; Jimi Hendrix Experience 7th May; Jimi Hendrix Experience Denny Laine 4th June; Cream John Mayall's Bluesbreakers 2nd July; Jimi Hendrix Experience 27th Aug.; and six with plain lettering to front cover, dates and artists include: Georgie Fame 3rd Sept.; Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac Long John Baldry John Mayall's Bluesbreakers 17th Sept.; Traffic 14th Sept.; Jimi Hendrix Experience 8th Oct; Junior Walker 15th Oct. and Sounds Incorporated Eddie Floyd 26th Nov.; together with four more programmes, artists include: Donovan, Fats Domino, Little Richard and Julie Felix -- various sizes (18)

Lot Essay

Brian Epstein, manager of The Beatles bought the theatre in 1965, with the objective to present plays and Rock 'n' Roll concerts. During his tenure it became most famous for the NEMS Present Sunday at The Saville concerts, during which the majority of the leading acts of the time would perform alongside up and coming acts.
