YONGZHENG BLUE-ENAMELLED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE-SQUARES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
Finely potted with rounded shallow sides rising from the wedge-shaped foot ring, delicately enamelled with lemon-yellow chrysanthemum growing from leafy sprays against a ruby-red ground on the exterior, the interior with a transparent glaze, the underside with the four-character reign mark enamelled in blue

An identical dish of this pattern and size in the National Palace Museum is illustrated in Special Exhibition of Ch'ing Dynasty Enamelled Porcelains of the Imperial Ateliers, 1992, Taipei, p. 194, no. 96. A related Yongzheng-marked dish of this small size but enamelled with prunus against a blue-ground is illustrated op. cit., p. 195, no. 97.
