Audmars Piguet created their first wristwatch with minute repeater complication in 1907 for the famed American industrialist John Schaeffer. This present limited edition represents Audemars Piguet's reinvention of this original and classic design.

For an illustration of the original John Schaeffer wristwatch see Brunner, Pfeiffer-Belli & Wehrli, AUDEMARS PIGUET, P.255.
