CASE: caryatid-cast handle to pierced and silk-backed basket top, flaming urn finials, repoussé mounts to the front door rails, glazed side panels, on replaced brass bun feet DIAL: 7 in. square brass dial with winged cherub spandrels to silvered chapter ring, matted centre with engraving around the date aperture, mock pendulum with silvered back plate signed 'Tho Webb Birmingham', strike/not strike lever at XII MOVEMENT: six ringed pillars, twin gut fusees with reconverted verge escapement, internal rack strike on bell and pull quarter repeat on three bells, the foliate-engraved back plate signed 'Thomas Webb/Birmingham', secured to the case with turn catches and a replaced bolt; case key
14½ in. (37 cm.) high, handle down; 10¼ in. (26 cm.) wide; 6¾ in. (17 cm.) deep
