Alfred Heaton Cooper (1863-1929) was a landscape and still life painter. He studied at the Westminster School of Art under Clausen and became influenced by Harpignies. In 1897 he settled in the Lake District where he found many subjects for his watercolours. He was the father of William Heaton Cooper who painted similar subjects.
