De forme octogonale, reposant sur quatre pieds, les faces principales ornées de rinceaux de lotus, les côtés rehaussés de médaillons en jade blanc sculpté d'Immortels, marque à six caractères de l'Empereur Qianlong incisée dans un rectangle à la base ; petits chocs à l'intérieur

Lot Essay

This jardinière was most probably made for a jade and hardstone plant such as the pair sold in our New York Rooms, 30 May 1991, lot 182, which were of hexagonal lobed form with champlevé enamel decoration and inscribed jade plaque inlays.
