"Several bottles of 1996 Loville-Las-Cases consumed at a series of recent dinners were remarkably consistent. They were all at a really lovely point in their evolution, where the wine was still perfectly youthful yet had opened up to show a lot of complexity. There was a ripe red berry fruit character with a pronounced floral edge and a hint of allspice or clove on the nose. On the palate the wine was supple and satiny, yet showed good length and nice concentration." At a client dinner in Beijing, March 2011
