An English delft blue and white dated puzzle-jug
probably London, the globular body inscribed Here Gentlemen come try y:r Skill,/I'le hold a wager if you will:/That you don't drink this liquor all;/Withput you Spill or lett some fall./1733, the reverse with sprays of flowers below a neck pierced with a band of stylised flowerheads, the rim with three apertures -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) high, 1733 (crack to rim, chips to base and some flaking)
