A Royal Worcester clock case
shape no. 497, surmounted by a seated female figure wearing classical drapes, holding a fruit, probably emblematic of the passing of time, on a rectangular plinth supprted by reeded columns flanking a satyr mask above a stepped base moulded with leaves, enriched in ivory tones and gilt, printed and impressed mark, date letter for 1888 -- 16in. (40.6cm.) high (some minor firing faults and very slight wear)
