Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on October 1 of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 2526 from 1953 until approximately 1960. This was the manufacturer's first model featuring an automatic movement, the legendary calibre 12-600 AT. With its attractive combination of a state-of-the-art movement and traditional enamel dial this reference is considered a very desirable collectors' watch.
