Oblong 4o (259 x 405 mm). Engraved throughout. Title with dedication to Andrea Corsini, 42 plates on 25 leaves, 18 leaves printed with 2 plates, by Maggi, Corduba and Barrière. (Some marginal staining.) Late 18th-century calf (rebacked). Provenance: Theological Institute of Connecticut (blindstamp on first two and last two plates).
The publisher, G.J. Rossi, active between 1645 and 1690, issued this collection of views of fountains by a number of earlier engravers, in various formats, both quarto and folio. The present work corresponds to the Berlin copy in plate count, if not in format. See Berlin Kat 3599.
