FIRST GERMAN EDITION. A translation of the Paris 1677 edition also illustrated with a plan and 40 engraved plates. According to the preface by Johann Ulrich Kraus, this work is intended as a guide for the visitor of the labyrinth in the garden in Versailles, and for anyone who is interersted in the design of the labyrinth. This work is not mentioned in any of the consulted references. Berlin-Kat. 3448 refers to a publication on the Grotto de Versailles by Kraus, published in Augsburg, also without any date.
