Marked PVDB for Pieter van den Briel at 't Fortuyn, circa 1760
Inspired by a silver example, the rectangular body with canted corners, painted with a pastoral scene and a garden scene, the short sides with a Chinoiserie figural scene and another pastoral view, the interior modelled with tray, decorated with a further Chinoiserie figure, the high domed cover en suite, surmounted by a sheep finial, some restorations
