CASE: drum-top surmounted by acorn finial, the tapered trunk with beaded surround and replaced inset verre eglomisé panel inscribed S.WILLARD/PATENT, conforming surround to rectangular plinth door with further replaced verre eglomisé panel depicting a battle scene, fluted bracket terminating in further acorn finial, with label to inside door inscribed in ink 'Molly Pitcher Battle of Monmouth T., re-gilt DIAL: white painted dial with blued steel hands MOVEMENT: rectangular plates joined by four front pinned pillars, anchor escapement; pendulum, weight, winding key
