The dial signed 'HENRY CAPT/GENVE', alarm ring below, blued steel hands the movement with twin going barrels, bimetallic lever balance to silvered platform escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate stamped for Drocourt, repeat retail signature, numbered '11235'

Lot Essay

Pierre and Alfred Drocourt were highly regarded carriage clock makers. The son, Alfred, succeeded Pierre to the family business. Pierre Drocourt exhibited in the 1860s and Alfred in 1880 and 1889, with numerous medals to their credit.
