Of arched rectangular form with divided plate within mirrored surround, the moulded border carved with scrolling foliate and floral husk trails, surmounted by a ribbon-tied foliate wreath issuing a conforming garland, the bottom central plate replaced, with restorations to decoration

C. Santini relates the present lot to a comparable naturalistic and foliate-entwined mirror dated circa 1780 and formerly in Ca' Rezzonico, Venice (discussed op.cit., p.263 and illustrated in G.Morazzoni, Il Mobile Veneziano del '700, Milan, 1958, Tav.CCLXI).
