Strung overall in boxwood and ebony, the hinged, ratchet-supported, leather-inset sloping top above a central drawer and cupboard flanked to each side by two deep drawers faced as four short drawers, the drawers crossbanded in rosewood, the sides banded in figured yewwood and birch, the back finished and banded in rosewood, the whole inlaid above the feet with flutes of pale hardwood
