The top, sides and front decorated with birds perched in foliage, surmounted with acroteria over a cupboard door enclosing four drawers, three with double tiers, all enclosing a collection of fossils and stones

John Williams-Vaughan (1853-1931) of The Skreen, Powys assembled this
collection of fossils, shells, bone, glass and ceramic fragments, many with ink-inscribed paper labels from across the UK and Europe.
