the drum-shaped case with urn finial, flanked by further finials, supported between two tapering square section columns with grey marble capitals and bases and foliate mounts, on rectangular base with beaded border and flattened feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced gilt hands (some chipping to winding hole), with openwork scrolling mount below, the going barrel movement with silk suspension, French, second half 19th century -- 11.1.2in.(29cm.) high
