A steel, brass and pewter mounted striking wall clock with alarm the pewter chapter ring with Gothic numerals and single steel hand, alarm disc to the centre, foliate cast spandrels, with remnants of border painting, foliate pierced and engraved frets, front-swinging pendulum with verge escapement, the movement with square section posted frame, alarm and countwheel strike on bell above via two hammers on vertically positioned steel arbors, with associated oak wall bracket, German, basically mid-18th century -- 9¾in.(25cm.) high
