the case with swan-neck pediment with brass ball and spire finials, fluted outset columns to the hood, crossbanding to the trunk door with fret-carved top, flanked by fluted pilasters, on bracket feet, the re-silvered dial signed BADDELY NEWPORT with subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, foliate mask spandrels, silvered disc in the arch engraved with a ho-ho bird with foliate spandrels, the four ringed pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 86in.(218cm.) high
