the hood with swan-neck pediment centred by a turned finial, outset tapering columns, the trunk with arched door flanked by pilasters, with plinth on associated ringed feet, the arched painted dial with spandrels depicting a young woman engaged in various seasonal activities, scene of a castle to the arch, signed AND.W MACKIE FRASERBURGH, with calendar and seconds rings, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 83in.(211cm.) high
