Taisho-Showa period (early 20th century), signed Nariyuki saku and sealed Imaizumi
Decorated in varicolored gold, silver, red, green and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirikane and inlaid aogai with two beauties and a girl attendant beneath a willow tree watching fireflies on a riverbank, all against a roiro and gradated nashiji ground, the sky black lacquer highlighted with hirame, the river gold and black togidashi and the interior dense nashiji; with an ivory netsuke of a woman writing on a scroll with a brush, signed Yasuaki (Kodama Yasuaki) and sealed; with a coral bead ojime
