The circular box with fitted lid decorated in gold hiramaki-e, low-relief takamaki-e and inlaid mother-of-pearl with a peacock spreading its tail feathers, the edges with stylized foliate scroll, with an inkstone made of wood inside; the interior nashiji, rims silver
