Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Bikai saku (Nakano Bikai)
Cast in bronze finished with a grey patina and engraved on the feathers, the eyes finished in shakudo ringed in gold, traces of gilding on the feet and the talons shakudo, the stand lacquered roiro with floating feathers in gold, silver and red hiramaki-e; the base nashiji, the mounts bronze engraved with waves
