Lot Essay

Ishikawa Joan wrote poetry in Chinese style (kanshi). He is also famous as scholar of Confucianism and as a practitioner of calligraphy, the Way of Tea and gardening.

The poem here is about moon-viewing (tsukimi) at a small house by a lake.
