PARTLY LATE 16TH EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Comprising close-helmet with one-piece skull (minor repairs) with roped comb, and modern applied pierced iron crest, 'monkey-face' visor, lower bevor shaped to the chin, and gorget-plates, gorget of three-plates hinged on the left side (hinge incomplete), the neck-plates and main rear-plate modern, breast-plate with rolled turn at the neck (some damage), modern single-plate skirt and tassets of five plates each, back-plate with recessed borders and turned roped edges, modern stepped culet of four plates, modern full arm defences each with fingered guantlet (one with detached thumb-plates), and modern full leg defences each with full sabaton, on wooden stand with reproduction military broadsword in German late 16th century style
