MEXICO -- Two albums, the first oblong 4° containing 48 photographs of Mexico (from 130 x 190 mm to 190 x 250 mm) on 40 sheets (315 x 450 mm), most titled in pencil and dated circa 1870-1890s. (Spotting, but mainly in the mount, heavier at beginning). Quarter black morocco (extremities rubbed, front hinge cracked). The second oblong 4° album containing 59 photographs (210 x 260 mm) on 58 sheets (255 x 320 mm) of Mexico, New York City and Washington D.C. dated circa 1890. (A few views with marginal spotting). Provenance: Sir Weetman Dickinson Pearson (book plate) -- Dunecht (book plate).

The subjects of the Mexican views include the construction of the Meltac bridge (1872), the construction of railway bridges throughout Mexico and the anniversary of Independence (1891).
