WITH IMPORT MARKS FOR LONDON, 1910, SPONSOR'S MARK
The ewer helmet shaped on spreading foot, with scroll-capped handle, the basin shaped circular with shell and scroll, each engraved with a coat-of-arms below a baron's coronet, the ewer marked near handle, the basin marked underneath
The basin 25 in. (64 cm.) diameter
The ewer 13 in. (34 cm.) high

The arms are those of Pearson impaling Cass for Weetman Pearson, 1st Baron Cowdray and later 1st Viscount Cowdray (1856-1927) and his wife Annie (d.1933), daughter of Sir John Cass (d.1898), whom he married in 1881. (2)
