The later rectangular plate within a moulded sanded and foliate-carved frame with re-entrant upper corners, surmounted by a broken swan-neck arched cresting centred by a cabochon and carved with foliage on a pounced ground, the apron centred by a shell, with paper retail label to reverse for 'WILLIAM YOUNG ABERDEEN', previously with sconces, replacements and restorations, re-gilt
