The hinged moulded top enclosing a compartment within the cushion-moulded frieze, above a fall-front inlaid with an oval and corner panels depicting birds, scrolling foliage and flowers, enclosing a fitted interior, above a drawer on four scrolled dolphin supports and a chequer-banded plinth, with Maple's depository label inscribed 'Lady Pearson' and another inscribed 'Pearson'
