A GILT AND SILVERED-BRONZE-MOUNTED GERMAN PORCELAIN CASKET
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The hinged top with a handle flanked to each side by a herm putto, issuing four cornucopiae, the front centred by a grotesque escutcheon, flanked to each side by a standing putto, the back centred by a grotesque mask, above an acanthus plinth and scroll feet, each porcelain panel depicting a scène galante, with ruby-coloured velvet lining
13½ in. (35 cm.) high; 14½ in. (37 cm.) wide; 10½ in. (27 cm.) deep
