A RARE SMALL BRONZE BELL, NAO
EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (770-256 BC)
Of elliptical section, the convex sides finely cast with a tapering panel divided by a narrow bead border repeated as the borders and dividing line of two diamonds filled with and flanked by angular scrolls, all within a narrow outer zigzag border, raised on a hollow rectangular shank that opens into the bottom of the bell, with overall encrustation of pale green color
