Carved as a recumbent cat grasping a flower stem in its mouth that trails onto its back, flanked by two kittens and with a large dragonfly below its mouth that stands on the tail of one of the kittens, the stone of very pale greenish-white color

Lot Essay

The combination of cats, a symbol of longevity, and a dragonfly represent wishes for a long life, and would have made this a suitable birthday present.
