The amber-glazed horse shown standing foursquare on an unglazed rectangular base, the rider seated atop a black-painted saddle set atop a splash-glazed blanket, his hands positioned to hold reins, wearing a straw-glazed coat with amber lapels, his face modeled with high cheekbones, broad nose and prominent brow below his tied cap
