AN UNUSUAL SMALL UNDERGLAZE BLUE CORAL-GROUND DISH
KANGXI/YONGZHENG PERIOD (1662-1735)
With shallow rounded sides, the center of the interior painted in underglaze blue with a stylized lotus flower encircled by a narrow white border outlined in blue line, with two similar flower stems on the reverse, with double blue line borders at the rim and encircling the foot, all reserved on a rich coral ground, with apocryphal Chenghua mark on the base
4 9/16 in. (11.6 cm.) diam.
