Each with deep rounded sides, the exterior painted with stylized flowers borne on conjoined leafy tendrils above a ruyi border, all within double line borders

Lot Essay

A pair of Daoguang-marked doucai bowls of the same pattern was sold in these rooms, 22 March 2007, lot 348. Another very similar pair of doucai-decorated bowls from the Edward T. Chow Collection was sold Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 19 May 1981, lot 554. Compare, also, the similar bowl sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 1 June 2011, lot 4002.
