The exterior painted with the Eight Immortals with their attributes in underglaze-blue reserved on a ground of puce-enamel waves, above a narrow band of key-fret pattern on the foot, the center of the interior with a similar roundel of Shoulao

Lot Essay

A Guangxu-marked bowl of the same pattern is illustrated by G. Avitable, From the Dragon's Treasure, London, 1987, p. 59, col. pl. 72. Compare, also, the Xuantong-marked bowl with the same decoration and of closely related size, sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 1 December 2010, lot 3214.
