Lot Essay

The Zhengzuo Wei tie is a representative masterpiece of Yan Zhenqing's running script calligraphy. It was originally a letter written to Dingxiang Junwang (Guo Yinzhi), in 764 by Yan Zhenqing. In this letter, Yan expressed his discontent with Guo's arrogant ways toward the public but obsequiousness when addressing the eunuchs at court.
