ATTRIBUTED TO THE PESCIA ROMANA PAINTER, CIRCA 600-580 B.C.
Decorated in polychrome, with two bands of animals and monsters moving to the right, the lower register with a winged horse and two steinbocks alternating with two winged panthers, their heads turned frontal, the upper register with a winged horse, a steinbock, a winged lion and a lion, a palmette below the triple-reeded handle, tongues on the shoulders and dotted rosettes on the neck and on the upper surface of the rim in front of the handle, a saltire interspersed with dots on the rotelles
