A LURISTAN BRONZE WHETSTONE
CIRCA LATE 2ND-1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
The whetstone socket cast as a double ibex forepart protome, with legs folded underneath, 8 in. (20 cm.) long; together with a pin with a double stylised bird finial, 20 in. (25 cm.) long; and four other pins, the finials decorated with a cockerel, an ibex head, an openwork pomegranate and a double panther forepart, 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high max. (6)
