CIRCA 5TH CENTURY B.C.
The central medallion with frontal head of a gorgon, her hair arranged in tight curls, with bulging eyes and arched brows, the wide mouth with fangs and protruding stippled tongue, framed by nineteen radiating petals, perimeter pierced for attachment
1½ in. (3.8 cm.) diam.
