Lot Essay

As noted by Israel Sack, Inc. in 1998, this table descended in the Leedom-Sharp family of Germantown, Pennsylvania and according to tradition, "was part of George Washington's furnishings during his stay in Germantown" (Israel Sack, Inc., advertisement, The Magazine Antiques (January 1998), inside front cover).
