A popular cosmography composed for the Mamluk na'ib of Aleppo Shahin, Arabic manuscript on paper, 57ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of black naskh, titles in red, including a possibly inserted map of the world and a diagram of Mecca, catchwords, marginal notes, incomplete at beginning and end, with possibly added date of Saturday 10 Ramadan AH 1000, followed by a qasida on Chess by Shihab al-Din Ahmad bin Abu al-Safa al-Hanbali, in gilt stamped morocco binding

Three 17th and 18th century copies of this work are in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin (A. Arberry, A Handlist of Arabic Manuscripts, Dublin, vol.1, 3111, vol.V, 4272/1 and vol.VI, 4734). There are two copies in the John rylands Library, Manchester which are both lacking the world map (A. Mingana, Catalogue of the Arabic Manuscripts in the john Rylands Library Manchester, 1934, nos. 496 and 1102).
