FIRST SMALL FORMAT EDITION, FINELY BOUND IN CRIMSON MOROCCO. The number of plates is greater than indicated in the plate lists in vols. I and II, and the plate count itself appears to vary. Copies sold in recent years are recorded as having either 42, 44 or 45 plates. Vol. III includes the Nouvelle relation de l'interieur du serrail du Grand Seigneur. Atabey 1201 (this copy, wrongly recorded as having 42 rather than 44 plates; binding illustrated); Brunet V, 681; Weber II, 277; this edition not in Blackmer. (3)
