FINE CHROMOLITHOGRAPHIC PLATES. In 1836 Parvillée 'was commissioned by the Ottoman Government to restore certain ruined buildings at Brussa, the first capital of the Ottomans. This work illustrates buildings (plans and details) in Brussa, particularly the Yechil-Djami and the Tomb of Mohammed I. The chromolithographs of the architectural decoration are especially attractive' (Blackmer). This copy has the Italian bookseller's ticket of Fossez pasted over the date on the title, declaring himself to be Morel's successor. Atabey 930; Blackmer 1261.
