Painted in colours in the oil-painting-style after a painting by Thodore Friedrich Koch, depicting Faust seduced by Grettchen and watched by Mephistopheles, a window and a bookshelf to the back, signed for Koch in the lower right corner, incised with a sceptre above K.P.M. and Pressmarken 413
