The case of typical form, the arched hood surmounted by giltwood figural finials. The brass dial with polychrome painted arch, silvered mock pendulum, C-scroll sprandles, silvered chapter ring signed Johannes Andriesse Grouw, the matted centre with subsidiary second ring, sectors for day of week and month, alarm setting disc and date aperture above VI. The four pillar movement with anchor escapement and strike; with two brass and lead weights, winding key and pendulum
