Carruades de Lafite--Vintage 2000
Pauillac
In original wooden case
"The second wine of Château Lafite, Carruades is named for a particular portion of the Lafite vineyard. In previous vintages, this wine was produced exclusively from the Carruades vines, but today, this fruit is joined by grapes from the entire property to produce a silken marvel of a Pauillac, expressive and supple, yet structured and capable of long aging. The 2000 vintage is among the very best of the second wines. This holds true today, showing a wine of ripeness and depth, but also great equilibrium. This drinks well now, and could last for years to come." CC, October 2008
