Level: top shoulder; Château and vintage brand visible beneath short, lead, Château and vintage embossed capsule, nicked and lightly corroded capsule, very heavily bin soiled label loose at corner
"No question, an extremely good wine. More recently, a perfect bottle, rich, complete at the Four Vintages dinner in 1993 and in 1996 a magnum, tasted blind, noting a still very deep appearance yet a mature mahogany rim; classic Pauillac nose showing some age; rich full-bodied. extremely tannic, but with a fragrant aftertaste. Most recently: lovely colour; perfect nose, rich, perfect balance. Fabulous. Last noted at the Josey pre-sale tasting in New York, Nov 2000 ***** if well stored, a long life ahead." MB, Vintage Wine
